Lesson 1


  • Listen to the ABC song and fill in the blanks in the lyrics:


Learn the alphabet and if you want to learn sign language as well, watch the video! 

  • Mime the rest of the song and sing it


Lesson 2


Numbers:

  • Do the worksheets (1 & 2)
  • Turn to your neighbour and give him a number to translate into English. Then switch! 



Lesson 3


  • Play a game of bingo: listen to the numbers and tick your bingo card. Once you have a line of 5, shout out BINGO!

 


Lesson 4


  • Listen and write down everything that you hear


  • On the board: write a word or a letter you heard
  • Draw the table in your copybook and fill it with the information on the board.

  • Listen to the dialogue again
  • Replay the dialogue, changing names.



Lesson 6


Nationality:

  • Watch the video 


  • Create flashcards: on one side choose a country and draw its flag. On the other side, write the name of the country and the nationality of the people living there. Create 5 flashcards with different countries and nationalities. 


  • Then do the worksheet:
  • Pick a flag one of your classmate has made and replay the biking race with the interviewer. Spell the name of the country.

Dates

  • Now do the worksheet on cardinal numbers
  • To check your understanding, let's do a dictation. 
  • Answer the questions: when is your birthday? When is your neighbour's birthday?


Lesson 8


  • Create and fill your own chocolate frog card: with your name, age, city, nationality, date of birth, height and weight. Write sentences.

  • Test (dictation letters, numbers, dates + questions + dialogue + vocabulary)


Lesson 10


Final task: Seating plan

  • In your house, create a new seating plan following this template: 
  • Go around the classroom and speak to 3 classmates: ask them questions about their name, age, nationality, address.
  • Then, watch the video:


  • Pick one student out of the three you spoke to and explain where they are in the class following the seating plan and give information about them WITHOUT SAYING THEIR NAME! The other houses have to fill in their blank seating plan. The first one to finish and be correct wins points.
