Lesson 1

Watch the video here and define the different topics that you talked about in your presentations and that are mentioned in the video.

Then, write down the main informations that you hear in order to be able to present the Potato Famine in 3 numbers.

Per group, you will receive a picture. Give it a title, describe it and imagine the social and health consequences this event could have had on the inhabitants.

Lesson 2

Research any social or health disaster that occurred in your country. Then, choose 3 numbers and 3 pictures to introduce it to the class in Lesson 3.

After, start working on a prevention leaflet that you could address to new inhabitants of your country with:

symptoms (what to look for)
prevention (what to prevent from doing)
care (what to do, who to tell)
