Unit 9

Lesson 1

Watch the first extract and figure out the first part of the title of the unit: 3 words 22 letters (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _   _ _ _  _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _)(SHAKESPEARE AND BULLYING)

  • Watch the second extract and figure out the second part of the title of the unit

.

This unit is going to start this year and you are going to finish it with Ms. Friedemann next year. Work seriously as it will be important for you next year. I will focus on the second part of the title before you can start working on the first part later on.

  • In the second extract, make a list of all the behavioural aspect that comes from Dudley Dursley (the big one) and which would relate to the unit.

=> correction (copy it in your copybook)

Lesson 2

  • Have a look at the three following pictures. In your copybook, fill in the table for each picture:

 Introduction
Description
Analysis
Conclusion
Opinion
Picture 1
 Picture 2
 Picture 3

=> Assignment: choose one of the picture and explain why you think this picture is the most representative of the three. Then, create one or describe another that you think would be even more representative.

Lesson 3

Have a look at the document which explains a bit about bullying in school and what bullying is today.

Answer the questions here.

  • In your own words, define what bullying is for you. Write them in your copybook.

Lesson 4

In groups, fill in the document and read the corresponding text below. EACH TEXT NEEDS TO BE WORKED ON.

  • Read your text.
  • Figure out why this particular extract has been chosen.
  • Then build a presentation (Powerpoint, Genial.ly...)
  • Without showing your text, explain what it is about (you can change the words and act it out, create a comic, pictures, drawings, etc...)
  • Explain how it relates to bullying
  • Give your opinion
  • Link it to a modern situation: transfer it to today, change the words if needed. Would there be consequences?
  • Add anything you think is worth mentioning!

=> Assignment 2

Lesson 5

  • Read the presentation of your classmates and choose five texts you would like to work on. For these 5 texts, create a positive outcome: it does not need to be long, but the bullying situation needs to be solved positively (no violence or murder!). And no more than 200 characters for each text!

Lesson 6
