Lesson 1

Have a look at the different pictures below for ten seconds each three times and then figure out the title of the unit (4 words, 11 letters) LOOK AT ME NOW

Imagine the different topics this unit could be about and then read the Unit Goals. Find a problematic. 

Now have a look at the picture below. Place all the elements on the table on the picture. Or do the drag and match. 

Then do the exercice below and try to add the details from the first documents onto new social media. 

Lesson 2

Divide the class into 8 groups. Groups 1 and 2 and Groups 5 and 6 will work together and Group 3 and 4 and Groups 7 and 8 will work together. Group 1, 3, 5, and 7 will have English words and Groups 2, 4, 6 and 8 will have French words. You have 5 minutes to get to know your words and divise a strategy. Then appoint 2 scribes who will pair up the words on a paper. Once you're ready, try to be the fastest in pairing all the words together. 

Then do it again with a new pack of words.

Then, pick 3 adjectives that best describe you and choose 3 more that you wish to work on or reach one day.

Lesson 3

Create your own mindmap. For inspiration you can use the template below. 

Divide the class into 4 groups. Each member of the group will listen to the audio below and fill in the card. Then, share your findings between yourselves and elect one spokesperson to present them to the class and fill in the table in the end.

Lesson 4

Each student will receive a part of a 4-part document: either a title, a picture, a "What it looks like I'm doing" and a "What I am actually doing/thinking". Go talk to the other students. YOU CANNOT SHOW THEM YOUR CARD. You have to describe it in order to be able to find your classmates who share the same document. 

Then sit down and analyse the document. Once you have some ideas about it, look at the picture below and add some details to your ideas.

To finish, watch the video below and answer the questions on the worksheet. 

Lesson 5

Have a look at the different pictures below and make a list of the similarities between them.

Write a short definition on what a selfie is. 

Then have a look at the title of the audio below and draw hypotheses on what it could be about.

Then listen to it three times and respect the instructions below.

1st listening: write down the names of people or places as well as essential information. 

Create your mindmap and the different categories.

2nd listening: add more information for each category, it can be words, numbers, or sentences

Organise your information in your mindmap and check it with your neighbour.

3rd listening: check the information gathered and complete it if necessary.

Finalise your mindmap and write a short summary on what the listening was about. Hand it in.

Now imagine a selfie that would be the perfect autoportrait of who you are. You can use accessories, landscapes, filters. Take your selfie and then write a small analysis of it explaining all the symbols you used and what they represent.
